Mentra Live is open-source smart glasses with a full SDK, camera, audio, and AI. Build and deploy custom apps for field work, inspections, remote support, and any hands-free workflow.

At 43 grams, Mentra Live is light enough for all-day wear across shifts, field work, and real-world deployments. We tested dozens of frames and spent thousands of hours to make sure these are smart glasses people actually keep on.

Returns & warranty
Full policyWe offer a 30-day no-questions-asked return policy for eligible orders. The buyer is responsible for return shipping unless the product is defective.
If your item has a defect within 30 days of delivery, Mentra will pay return shipping and offer a full refund after we review and confirm the issue.
Mentra Live includes a 1-year limited warranty for covered defects. For approved warranty claims, Mentra provides free return shipping and a free replacement.

What can Mentra Live do?
Mentra Live are smart glasses with an open-source SDK that lets you build and deploy apps in the real world. It features a camera, three microphones, stereo speakers, and an app store. It does not have a display. Out of the box: capture photos and video, make calls, listen to music, get live captions and translations, use AI note-taking, livestream, and run any app from the Mentra MiniApp Store.
What makes Mentra Live so unique?
Mentra Live is the only smart glasses with an app store, which means your experience can constantly evolve. With other glasses, your experience is locked into a closed ecosystem. Your data and information is used to serve you ads and learn about your life. With Mentra Live, it's your data, your apps, your glasses. They're also all-day wearable. Other AI glasses claim the same, but they're over 50 grams and uncomfortable after a few hours. Mentra Live is build to become a seamless part of your everyday life.
Does Mentra Live have a display?
No. That's on purpose – lighter, longer-lasting, and more comfortable. Displays add weight and drain the battery. Mentra Lives are some of the lightest smart glasses on the market (not to mention amongst the most affordable). However, Mentra Display will be coming later on in 2026.
How long does the battery last?
We've optimized Mentra Live for long battery life. All-day wear: 10+ hours of mixed use | Music: 5+ hours | Live streaming: 40+ mins | Video recording: 1+ hours
Is Mentra Live waterproof?
You cannot swim with Mentra Lives, but they are fine for light rain, sweat, and everyday use. Don't wear them in heavy rain.
Can I use Mentra Live without internet?
Yes, you can take videos, photos, calls, listen to music, and more without internet.
What comes in the box?
Mentra Live glasses, charging case, infinity cable, microfiber cloth.
What is the Infinity Cable?
The Infinity Cable is a special cable that plugs into your glasses and lets you charge them while you wear them for infinite battery life. It's powered by a battery pack, your phone, or anything with USB-C.

MentraOS is an open-source operating system (OS). It's the industry-leading OS, built for Even Realities, Vuzix, Mentra Live, and more. Open source means a product's design or source code is publicly accessible, allowing anyone to view, modify, and distribute it, fostering collaborative development and transparency.
What is a Mentra MiniApp?
Apps are the software you can find in our Mentra app on iOS (Apple App Store) and Android (Google Play Store). When you use Even Realities, Vuzix, or Mentra Live, through the app, you can find numerous apps that enhance your experience. Apps like: Merge - proactive AI that answers your questions before you ask | Live Captions - real-time subtitles for the deaf and hard-of-hearing | Live Translation - understand every language | Notes - AI note taker … and more. Does Mentra Live work with iOS and Android?
Yes, through the Mentra app. Download it from the App Store or Google Play.
Does Mentra Live store my data?
MentraOS only stores your email address and the apps you have installed. Users can view all their data and delete all their data directly in the Mentra app.
Can developers build apps for Mentra Live and the Mentra MiniApp Store?
Yes. Mentra Live runs MentraOS, which is fully open source. You can build custom apps using the camera, microphones, speakers, and AI, and deploy them directly to your own devices, or through the Mentra MiniApp Store. Visit docs.mentraglass.com for documentation and getting started guides.
