Mentra Live Shipping Update

We’re delaying Mentra Live shipping by six weeks, and it will now ship to all US batch 1 customers on February 15. We’re sorry for the delay.

The Mentra Live hardware is complete and working end-to-end. This extra time is about finishing some critical pieces so the experience feels magical and seamless from day one.

Check out this Mentra Live unboxing and live demo:

What is working today

Mentra Live is already fully functional. Today, it supports:

  • Photos and video capture, syncing instantly to your phone
  • Live streaming directly to YouTube, Twitch, and X
  • Music and podcasts playback through the glasses
  • Phone calls, completely hands‑free
  • Mentra AI, sees what you see

Much of this is shown in the demos and unboxing video above.

What we’re finishing (and why we’re delaying)

The hardware is solid. The remaining work is about final software changes and making the day‑one experience feel magical.

  • Charging case update: we found that if you put the case upside down and shook it, the glasses would stop charging. We had to fix this for users who keep Mentra Live in their backpack. It’s been fixed and updated cases are now being built
  • Final integration of a custom microphone solution so the Mentra Live microphone can run continuously and reliably
  • Camera stabilization: finishing software image stabilization so footage is smooth while walking and moving
  • Mentra Notes: automatic AI note‑taking with Mentra Live
  • POV video calls: share your glasses camera feed on a call

Updated shipping timeline

Mentra Live will ship on February 15, 2026.

We’ll continue sharing updates (and demos) as we finish the final work.

Thank you for the patience - we’re doing this to make sure Mentra Live feels magical from day one, and genuinely worth the wait.
